If you’ve been here, you know we need a miracle.
And this is your chance to be a part of that miracle.
I’ll let OPC intern Rachel Thomson’s pictures tell the story, but if you have time on May 7 and are willing to lend a helping hand, please click HERE to register and volunteer to make the Oakland Peace Center as beautiful as the people who work here for peace and justice. We call it “Miracle Day,” and you’re the miracle.
All day May 7, over 100 volunteers will come together to paint, plant, hammer, and spackle our way to peace. We’re counting on you to get your hands dirty for the thousands of people who will use the Oakland Peace Center this year: trauma survivors, youth learning entrepreneurship, nonviolent activists, people planting trees for breathable air, and so many more.
If you can afford to contribute so we can buy supplies, we have an ambitious goal and need your help; you can contribute financially HERE.

I am really excited for May 7, and I am especially excited to see you, hard hat in hand, shovel and paintbrush at the ready.
